It’s kinda like being a kid again. LA has no shortage outdoor adventures and places to explore – especially if you like a view and don’t mind working your butt off to get there… and the occasional bump or scrape to go with it. I generally don’t attempt to hike in heels but I was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place (pun literally intended) when it came to actually exploring this little stretch of earth-meets-sky AND getting some shots of what I’m pretty sure will become my uniform for summer.
I’m a little in love with long sleeved maxi’s at the moment, there’s just something a bit more elegant about the shape than your standard maxi. Being summer I wouldn’t normally gravitate to long sleeves but this Tobi piece is so light it’s almost sheer. Going for a luxe retro/Rachel Zoe vibe, I managed to Bambi around with a tan Jessica Bratich clutch, big Hello Parry sunnies, some Michael Hill stackable rings and a Free People chocker to complete the look.
The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring – mostly in sandals at this point (any images that don’t show my feet, be assured I’m in sandals and standing steadily upright only because I’m in slightly more terrain sensible footwear – the amount of shots I had to axe of me mid-fall is ridiculous). In the very last image, you can see three rounded peaks. On the middle one is where I ended up for the afternoon with a small picnic and an expansive blue view of cloud painted skies.
